Read server access logs to find crawl waste: bot hits, status codes, redirect chains, soft 404s, URLs full of parameters. The output shows which URLs drain your budget.

Paste your server access log

Supports Common Log Format (nginx, Apache, Cloudflare). One entry per line.

Parsed client-side — nothing is sent to any server

How to use

  1. 1Paste your server access log entries into the text area.
  2. 2Press Analyze. We read each line in your browser, so nothing is sent to a server.
  3. 3Review the bot split, status codes, top URLs and crawl waste flags.
  4. 4Fix or remove the flagged entries to win back crawl budget for pages that matter.

How we compute

See the split by bot. See the count of status codes. See the most-hit URLs. See the crawl waste report. Crawl waste means URLs that burn your budget.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Spot crawl waste and bot hits in your server access logs.

What log format does this support?
Common Log Format (CLF): host, user request, status code, and page size. The long IIS and nginx formats also work, as long as the request line and status code are there.
Is my log data sent anywhere?
No. All the work runs in your browser. Nothing is stored or sent.
What is crawl waste?
Crawl waste is budget spent on URLs no bot needs. Cut them and bots spend more time on pages that can rank.
